Join us for a free public screening of film clips from The Black Monk with Emmy-nominated and award winning Essex County filmmakers, Marylou & Jerome Bongiorno.  There will be a discussion and Q&A on the art of film-making, the process of adapting a classic short story, as well as insights from featured speakers from Nutley.

This film, inspired by the eponymous classic short story by Anton Chekhov was created in collaboration with The Staten Island Museum and filmed in iconic sites in New Jersey, including: Newark Abbey and St. Benedict’s Prep, Botanical Gardens in a private home and interiors of 19th century home in Nutley, NJ. Featured guest speakers will discuss these filming locations.
